4x4 crossmember as a jacking point?

Is it safe to use the 4x4 front crossmember as a jacking point (using a trolley jack)? I know it's fine on a 2WD car but on the 4x4 it's made from alloy.

I would be happy to do that but ONLY with putting a bit of wood between the jack and X member, so that it spreads the load better, or a nice thick pad on the jacking seat.

I made some ramp extensions that I use, if going on ramps, otherwise just start with alloy jack, then when lifted a bit put std height one under other side.

I jack it up at the side, put it on a stand, then jack it up properly under the cross member, put it on 2 stands, jack the jack back up 95%, and put a wheel under it for good measure. So there's 4 things holding the car above me. Don't trust the rust bucket otherwise
