Default Sump off - breather options?

So -8 is a 3/4 16 thread. I was thinking of drilling and tapping something below the oil line. Has anyone just done a banjo fitting on there instead with success?

I don't mind paying a bit to get it welded up or jb weld after tapping it out, but it seems so porous and dirty that tig welding might be a bit difficult. Banjo is best?

You guys rock. I dislike learning the nuances of new (to me) motors but this is great. Simple and clean.

Yeah, I think a trip to visit some family is in order. A recon run.

I'd like to find a week or two that straddles the Brit GP, Foodwood and a Ford meet. Try and get two events in

But you're right LHD. Might be time to put up or shut up about moving there. Wife is down, that's 9/10ths of the battle. Might even be inclined to bring my Merkur with me. Ha.

Better yet below is a sample of what kind of work I get here. I made crap money this day and spent 8 hours in the car. Worked out to about 6 pounds an hour. Being a motorsports photographer is easy for me. Just nothing here to shoot and no one wants to pay. Weddings pay the bils and even then that sucks right now. I'm back to having a day job.

You can imagine what it's like walking into some local "speed shop" asking for aeroquip parts or pinto engine gaskets. When I say "Merkur" they look at me weird. If I say Sierra they bring truck parts out for me. LOL. I have to drive quite a distance just to locate stainless metric bolts and this country is full metric. Am I ranting?

If you like smoking weed, snowboarding, drinking beer, tribal tattoos and driving an pickup truck then this place is paradise.

NYC is whole different ball game though. My wife lived there for years. It's a great place to visit.

I'm cruising a lot of the job sites. Looking at to let prices. Seeing what the deal is.

I have a British passport because my dad was born there so I have "right to abode" and can walk right in. Still trying to see if my wife can get in without hassle. There is enough family there that we could get set up easily in north London, the Bristol area and others. I might be able to use some of my experience working as a manager for Sage Software and get a sales job there maybe with a IT company. Then I could work my way up in the motorsport shooter racket, possibly going self employed or working for a publication etc. Sales is a good gig since it's nearly the same worldwide.

Obviously a trip is in order. By the time I get my a$$ in gear the dark clouds will have blown over and the job market will be better. Spring/summer?

North london will be a good base if you were wanting to get back into SAGE as loads of companies use it there and tube links to London are great into the city from there if you had to work elsewhere in London.

the dark clouds in the uk are showing signs of lifting; so i hope next year things will be better

lots of nice places around bristol; such as bath and places in wiltshire
london will command better wages but i wouldnt want to live there personally

you can always ask on here nearer the time

London is not my first choice. I like roads with fewer cars on them. Plus insurance and a garage are factors.

That's looks rather industrial. I dig.

And yes andy, the beer would be on me. I think it's time I got over there. Any idea on the 2010 date?
