it might be that the adjusting screw is damaged on the ecu pcb.

theres many things that can affect the co.
the idle speed, the fuel pressure, voltage to the pump. the ect sensor/act sensor.
The co should be adjusted with the idle control valve plug off
and the engine rpm needs to be at 850 rpm

Also what is the spec of your car i take it is standard?
standard co level should be 1.0- 2.0.

Did the adjustment screw have the tamper plug in it or was it just exposed.
also to increase the level it would need to be turned anti clockwise. does the adjusment pot have a stopper on it or does it just go round and round?

oh forgot to say running at such a low c0 could be disastrous to your engine,, the co level affects the whole map.,. and so would be running lean

If the CO pot has been broken, it's a piece of piss to fix, I'm sure MSD would repair it for you, not a big job, just drive gently with no boost in the meantime.
I would also check a few things particularly fuel pressure, VERY unlikely to be the chip, but I have bog standard ones should you need.

How did you know I've got a serious weapon, the girls have obviously been talking again!!
I don't have a SA80, just a(unfired) blank round, which is nearly empty anyway, found it and phoned plod, they said what do you expect us to do ?, so I kept it.

I don't know really, hadn't planned on selling it, but no good to me, as run Emerald K3, best move I ever did.
I have just sold a swirl pot to a guy in Jersey, and like I did with him, would want you to be satisfied that it worked perfectly and was ok before I will take any
(agreed beforehand) payment for it.
I'll pm you, nudge me if I forget!!

Dodgy connection somewhere on loom plug ?
Glad it's sorted anyway, assume you no longer want the chip, I'll put it back in me drawer then, like to keep it as it's history of the car as original, did have the original L6, but sold that to someone on here, and he fried the f****r, !!
