have a look at your engine loom where the crank sensor plug connects - see if either one of the wires is damaged, or if one of the terminals has pushed out of the plug housing

Is the new CPS securely connected and correctly adjusted? It may not have been secured when it was installed. The gap between the sensor and the teeth on the crank pulley should be 0.6 - 1.0 mm.

Mine died (spectactularly) a while ago because the king lead decided it was time to end its relationship with the dizzy cap. So I'd suggest they're all secure too.

Try and get a hold of an ignition amp to try, i had same symtoms as you and a new (second hand) amp cured it.

The fact that it primes the pump tells you it is getting cps signal so that can be ruled out.

Have you checked for a spark from the king lead? If you get a spark there, your ignition amp is probably OK.

check to see if there is a spark from the king lead, if there isn't, its most likely your coil is fucked. If there is, then only your dizzy can be fucked.

you checked the fuse on the engine loom under the dash? mine got knocked by a mate in the middle of nowhere and took ages to find out.

but if you keep cranking over, when you find the fault, change the oil and filter, because the unburnt fuel might be thinnning down the oil and it will rattle your engine
