Uprated Gearbox
Ok so we all now that the cosworth gearbox's are prone to breaking when you start upping the power over the 400 bhp mark, and I know that there is no CHEAP cure to this. But what gearbox/upgrade would you fit to your saph to uprate it, but at the same time not completely rape the bank account.

I take it that you are talking about the 4x4 box? if you are its way before the 400 bhp mark that the boxes mess themselves,
it isn't actually big bhp that kills the boxes its big torque that does it, anything more than 300 ft/lbs through a MT75 and its curtains
The cheapest conversion that I have seen is about 1500 squids for a semi straight cut gear kit (85%) add about another monkey to get that kit fitted into your casing, or to save even more do it yourself if capable,
This is the kit that I will be going for next year, the manufacturer of these kits claim that they are in cars running 500-600 bhp and taking it, if this is the case and these kits do what is says on the tin it will be happy days
