4.44 is very short and the car wont do much over 100mph.

You can go up to 120-125mph depending on your wheels (I'm gonna use 17" and probably 215/40 tyres), and rev limiter (mine will be 7500rpm). I think the best to use with 4.44 is a T34 with 0.63 as you don't go too low in the revs so

The max i would go is 4.1 really, but tbh i'd go for 3.9 as that is the best of both worlds IMO.

I always said my perfect Saph would be the Gunship conversion on a 3.9 diff.

Sorry, i just read my reply back and it didn't help answer your question at all! Lol.

As Matt said, T34.63 maybe, as you will never be low enough down in the revs for it to drop off boost.

I don't know about GT turbos mate, but I have a T34 0.63 because it has a maram shaft so can run antilag, don't know about GT turbos. If you don't need antilag I guess the GT route is "better", but more expensive too. Can't help, but surely if you're using 18" wheels with 4.44 your top speed should be enough for normal roads. Highway will be boring as hell, but you have to decide if you wanna have a cruiser or a racer !

on tight road. isn't a 4.44 cwp be more fun to drive? it should have very good acceleration and cornering speed.... i read that some racing rs500 used 4.44 ratio too...but there are using t4 right?

No way RS500 BTCC cars used 4.44 mate. Group A rally cars yes, and as you said it gives really a big push on twisty roads !

Wrong , what you dont understand is correct gearing in the gearbox , the touring cars had direct top gearboxes , 1:1 5th .
4.44 is still the most popular available ratio , you just need to sort the ratios in the box and wheel sizes to suit this .

use whatever 5th gear ratio, diff ratio, tyre size, and rev limit you've got/want

Top Speed Calculation Example

Tyre Circumference (for 225/35/17) = pi x diameter
= 3.1415 x 589mm
= 1851.34mm
= 1.85134m

Now 1 mile = 1609.344m

Tyre revolutions per mile = 1609.344 / 1.85134
= 869.286

Engine revs per mile = tyre revs/mile x top gear ratio* x diff ratio
= 869.286 x 0.82 x 4.44
= 3164.897

* TKO gearbox

Now, engine revs per hour = 7800rpm x 60
= 468000

Thus top speed = engine revs per hour / engine revs per mile
= 468000 / 3164.897
= 147.87mph

With 225/40/18 sized tyres (with 2m circumference), top speed = 159mph

Didn't know the RS500 BTCC cars used 4.44. Always thought they only used 3.9.

Were there a track short enough to put 4.44 diff Ryan ? Could you tell us a bit more about the diffs used ? Just for my knowledge.
