Default Air vent question

Hi, how to remove the centre air vent in the dash on a saff?? are there some screws somewhere?

no screws from memory, they have metal clips which simply push in.
the plastic duscting which fits to the back of the vent is fitted very tight

just use 2 big plastic trim pullers, or 2 big flat head screwdrivers.

the plastic ducting is off already. but the vent itself is still in place and wont come out. i tried to pull but dont want to damage something..

how did you get the ducting off the back of the vent if the vent is still in the dash board?

you wont damage it unless you are really heavy handed. they are just metal clips, make sure you pull from the sides and not top & bottem.

i would help you but you are in Germany! bit far for me to come!

i removed that part where the clock is and from there I grabbed that airduct. well maybe i am too shy with those plastic parts

If you slide a ruler up the side of the vent like the way the airflows, on the exterior of the vent where the clips are attached at each side, you can often dislodge them this way, as it's a sprung clip, but very fiddly.

Finally I got it out, with a srewdriver and some more force it out

so thanks for the help!
