Default ECU Swap. L1 to L6

As mentioned in another thread. I have a L6 ecu with a stg 3 GGR chip in it that I want to swap into my L1 3dr. Stu mentioned it will be a straight swap but when I plugged it all in, as soon as the key is in the ignition position, the fuel pump fires up and I get full pressure at my fuel gauge. Tried to start it but it just wont fire. Plugged the old L1 in and no fuel pump running at ignition and it started straight away... Thoughts?

Cheers

Yes. The chip is plugged in wrong or even missing.

Ok. This is getting messy now. Your right Stu. Had a good look at everything again. The ecu is in fact a L1 with a L6 cover on it! Should have know straight away because the aluminium is cleaner and brighter than the top cover.
That is still ok. But now im thinking that it is a L6 chip? I can make out SAPHL2V2 on it. Do you recognize this chip Stu??

Im starting to think this is a bad idea....

to my knowledge there wasnt an L2

see here for more info http://www.bigturbo.co.uk/main1.htm

its clearly a GGR chip with their own serial number. L2 doesnt mean its an L2 ECU

Sorry. My typo. I meant L2
Yerp. Very wierd. It would have to be the chip that is making it not start then. I will try to find more details.

Thanks guys

L2 tune (old skool) is 355 light green injectors and 18 psi of boost for approx 290 bhp

if that helps at all

Yes but you will need a PF09 TPS(throttle position sensor) and swap the 2 outer wires around that go to it
