Default YB 205 bottom end rebuild

Hi, i just got the call for the cost of the above plus T3 with a 360 bearing. comes to just over 2 grand .
The crank needs a regrind , the pistons being replaced with good quality 2nd hand items , is this sounding about right? its a very reputable company so i dont mind paying it as i know it will be spot on , was just wondering what other people have been quoted with similar spec. i know every engine rebuild is gonna be individually different plus turbo , just be nice to see what others have paid out of interest. Its a standard setup as close to standard compression etc etc. ???

still sounds a lot of money mate for a bottom end rebuild, for that money I would expect new pistons and also machined so the valves dont hit the head

thanks guys for the reponse, its actually gonna be just over 2 grand so now i,m gonna have a rethink for the go ahead, i know its my money but i h8 the idea of saying to them i,m not up 4 it.

have just spoke to a friend ive not seen for a long time didnt even know if he still had his saff , he,s just told me he,s had a rebuild done by a guy in essex called jo, an ex Harte engineer!!! meant to be exteremly good , has anyone heard of him as im definately thinking its worth paying same kinda money but having the new stuff as RS SPECIALIST says. Thanks mate for the advice .

I,m a devoted cosworth fan and want the best , i know i said i dont mind paying tht price but maybe i,ve gone down the wrong road here !!!!! any more ideas,s in the essex area where i could take this instead will be appreciated soz 4 long thread .

i would never take it to Burtons no disrespect.
If money wasnt an issue i,d be having a £3000 plus all new parts build from someone like Julian Godfrey or MAD , but its outta my price range .
i know theres a lot of bandits out there , i dunno whether th mention the company i,ve taken it to but i want best for my money which doesnt seem to be the case from what u guys have said. They are def not bandits but seems now not tht good of a deal
