Unhappy Whining noise help

Why do you guys think I am hearing a whining noise from the front end of my sapph 4x4 when applying the brakes to decelerate?? What is your diagnoses. Front and rear rotors are ventilated, through drilled and grooved + brake pads are EBC green stuff.

Thanks for your help and advice.

Drilled and or grooved are noisy in operation sometimes, nothing to worry about.

Thanks very much tabetha for your quick reply.

I was looking around for new rotors because the front measured 22.5mm. Do you suggest I change over to ventilated and grooved only. Would this eliminate the whine? I came across MTEC do you recommend this brand?

thanks

Grooved will still be noisy a bit less so than drilled, but it is because they deglaze the pad as it passes the grooves holes that generates the noise.
I just use cheapo discs and change every two years or pad set which ever comes first, I use Yellowstuff pads and very little noise, even though I have taken anti squeal shim off back of pads.

Decent drilled and or grooved discs aren't noisy in operation. I had ebc ones years ago and they were noisey as a noisey thing
