I currently have a big oily foam air filter on my Sapph and was thinking about changing to something that may flow a bit more air. Any suggestions on the best choice for high performance air flow? I don't care about noise issues as it's only for track.
Thanks all,
Charlie

Thanks Tabetha. I realise that there are a lot to try. Does anyone have an opinion as to which ones are best or are they all much the same? I notice that a lot of race cars seem to use the original airbox with replacement filters.

As said a lot is show, but a std box will keep a lot of heat away.
I don't think there is much in it quality wise, so long as a decent well known make, just not a metal gauze one!!

My rs500 box has holes drilled in the lower front and a k&n fitted.
My pipercross foam one nearly got sucked out and eaten by my T4 so watch out for them - ask anyone who saw it at Coombe this summer.
I flow enough for 437 at the rear wheels these days... there are replica boxes out the that must be equally as efficient??

Thanks all. I think I have an original airbox on the shelf so may try to go that route with K&N filter element. That and some well placed air intake hosing looks like the best way to duct in air at the lowest temps.
