Default Solid beam mounts

How much are these?

and do you need anything else to fit them? as ive seen pics f what looks like a polly bush in between them, dose this come with them?

nothing else is needed to fit them, the poly bit is a mod i did to mine, it isnt part of the std solid kit,

well, ive only ever driven my car on solid mounts, so i cant compare with/without,
but the solid bush sits on a tiny layer of poly, and should help reduce noise, and it looks neater afterwards, as the solid mounts leave a gap between the body, which the bush filled.

im not sure if you can still get the bush i used, it was part of the deflex rear beam bush, as it came in two bits


if you look at the solid mounts only a small center section touches the body, i wasnt to keen on all the rear weight sitting on such a small surface area, in fear it may crack the leg, so the bush spreads the load over a larger area aswell

Not needed at all, just make sure the area that the mount sits in is free from rust or flaking paint.

you can see the raised center section of the solid bush here....that is the only bit that contacts the body normaly, which is gash imo


and you can see how the poly bush sits over it with the cut out in the center...

i didnt fancy all the rear weight being sat on that small area of the solid bush, so i did this...




it should reduce noise, reduce the vibration which causes the center bolt to work loose(mine never has) and fills the horrible gap


and looks like this when done,



the bush squashes up tight against the body, increasing the surface area of the bush

So what is that bush then? a choped up beam mount bush? its not a track car so would like to save it from some noise if posible

when i had my Deflex beam mounts fitted, they came in two pieces...that is the top part of it, and it is the PERFECT size!

If you later add a poly diff mount, the arb will no longer fit, without cutting and welding reshaping.
I have got solid beam mounts but can't see that the poly part is going to do anything, so not going to bother myself, maybe if you are after quietness etc you might be better off with poly instead ?

the poly ones do still have movement in them though, where the solid ones have zero movement,
mine are no more noisey than the polys i had before tbh

Just bought a set for 50 quid off flea bay . They look like a good mod as the rear beam wont have any movement now .
