I remember seeing an old police camera action when the comentator stated "and in their high power police car" at which point an old shonky rover slipped or rather fell into view lol.
I use to love the (cough) vauxhall senators.

Devon and Cornwall Police had a few and there were some in Bridgend, South Wales. I always remember a blown up 4x4 in Geoff Dewitts motorsport being repaired. They put a new engine in at the Police depot - but no oil!!!

One of my mate "felt in love" with the sapphire cosworth when he saw on the TV-news like 15 years ago a small subject about the "high-speed excess on the swiss roads" and the TV went in a police car. Then they had to chase a guy and at some point the police guys said : "He is too fast for us, asking support, the guy has a Sierra Cosworth". How kewl

not sure about the 2wd, but the 4x4 cop ones had a different seat material in them (non leather) cant remember what its called, but more smoother and rugged than the normal cloth stuff

the actual seat was dark grey, with a coloured recaro logo stitched into them
