Default cold start?

has a cossie got a cold start or something simular? as when i first start mine it idles arout 1100 but as soon as i go to move it and dip clutch it shoots up to about 2k and dropd slowly back to around 1100. then it warms up and its fine.

also got a slight misfire when warm at 1900 k and clears it self as soon as over 2k. or under 1900

would any of it be an idle control valve? if so where abouts in the bay is it?

2wd 90 cossie by the way, cheers

The idle control valve is on top of the throttle housing a cylindrical unit with the end inside the housing itself, held oin by a ring around it's base with two screws, and has a electrical TWO pin plug going to it as well, the top half is grey plastic the lower half is stainless steel.
The fact that it is able to raise the revs shows it to be working, I would check your tps output, then if you have not done so in the last few years I would replace the cts.
