Default Changing springs

Is it right you have to dislocate/remove the driveshafts to get them out/back in?

Only on the rear end. You don't have to remove them, just dislocate from either the hub or rear diff. Just don't let them hang down at extreme angles, support them with axle stands or something.

i did'nt have a cosy but it was a 4x4 saff and i used cosy springs all i did was unbolted the rear beam and lowered it down on the jack just watch the rear brake lines i had a close call on my first try mined you find a garage that will do it for cash it should only cost £35 its alot easyer on a ramp
