After some info, I'm running cossie managment on my XR2turbo, but on a coil pack, I've just fitted a set of Sierra clocks from a coilpack model 1600 CVH. Which wire would be the rev counter, thought it was the green on the ignition amp, but does'nt seem to work.
Can anyone confirm or correct me on this .
I've check every thing and proved the wiring from the ECU plug (pin 9) that goes to the green on the original ignition amp plug, and is ok to the multi plug at the clocks.
Pin26 is the other of the 2 exrta wires that control the coilpack wiring.
Every thing seems correct but still no rev counter
is there any way i can check the out put from my S8 ECU, and any idea what sort of reading i should be getting.
Cheers Ginger
P.S i've tried 4 different set of clocks and not getting a reading on any of them

Hi mate how ya doing, Ive recently just done a coil pack conversion to my cossy, it was the msd kit which came with everything. I know on the cossy clocks I had to make a slight alteation to the back of the clocks themself to get them to work. The instruction manual for the coilpack said this is usually necessary in order for it to work. Heres a picture of what is needed to be done.

Here you can seee a small bridge wire that is required. You have to take the clock assemblly apart completely to locate it.
Also on the cossy ecu, it says the tachoneter wire shud be 21 (or posibly 9), and then 26 is the coilpack like you said. I have plugged my pins into 21 and 26, but i know if the car has air con, there is already a plug in number 21 (this is when you probably use 9 instead).
Hope that helps mate, there are a few other ways to get your clocks working if that fails, they are explained here. I would scan it up but dont have a scanner at the mo.
