saff cossie 4x4 gearbox
how easy/hard is it to strip a 4x4 cossie gearbox and reseal them. Mine is leaking oil from where the silicone should be.

there is silicon in the middle and that's a bit tricky to seal
the transfer box is fairly easy and can be done with the box in the car

so i take it its gearbox out to reseal it then.

yes, if it's the middle bit
you need a spcialist socket, or do a blue peter jobbie and use a welder to make one up
professional place will probably charge you about £200 to d oit, but that should include getting the box in and out
