Ok, what is the widest that could fit ?

I believe I saw a 3 door, or a RS500 with 225/40-18 in a Fast Ford magazine, if I remember correctly the wheel-colour was "champagne", but maybe something had been modified in the wheel-house, so they could fit ?? Anyone remember ?

Found the car in Fast Ford Oct 2003, it's a black RS500 with ALS.
It runs on 8x18 Raceline with 225/40 tyre, the arches has been modified, what is arches ??

Running 225 35 R18 on ET40 Hocks on the rear of my 3 door. 215 40 R17 on ET40 on the fronts. Both front & rear are 8" wide with No spacers or clearance probs. 225 40 R18 i would say will catch on the rear & defo not fit the front without heavy arch mods.
HTH
Regards
Andy

Ok, thanks. But how can it be modified, and still have surface to fit the bodykit ? Have to take off, some of the bodykit too ?

the body kit can be trimmed and the arch can be trimmed back to where the rivets are holding the bodykit on
