Same as that! Straight through from downpipe to backbox.

Its actually pretty quiet at idle and when pootling round but sounds like a jet fighter at full chat.

Maybe at like 550+ bhp, but I can't see a prob on mine which realistically is 400 max. It sounds good and hasn't fallen off yet so I'll leave it alone!

I just remember reading it somewhere i think, they're ok for around 400ish, but as you've said, once in the 550 plus not so good, mind you, at those power levels most probaly have custom ones fitted i'd say...

Getting my centrebox removed next week, just want to add some character to the car, it's TO quiet at the moment... and before anyone disses me, i know it's CHAVVY............

Really?? so it felt down on throttle respone then?? Hmm, interesting that..

I'm just wondering whether it'd need the map checking too, might make it lean or summet..

What are the standard exhausts for cossies? Did they come from the factory with mild steels systems and how quiet were they. Did they have large centre box and back box?

Two pipes with centre boxes either side of the prop, joining up at the single box at the rear. Like a pea shooter, good for stage 1 and no more I think.

Staffi/Pete,

I've heard they are too, but not for 350bhp, so we love it

You could feel a slightly improved throttle responce after having it removed, or so it seemed anyway

You can ask markyd3 off here about the noise if you want a non-biased opinion, and he took his scorpion off cos he's :ghey: and doesn't want it too loud

Him and Pops were in the Saff and overtook me on a bypass local to us, and I wound down the window in my van, and my ears SERIOUSLY hurt, the noise was fooking AWESOME!! It soon disappeared off into the sunset too, they'd got to the end of the bypass and turned around, floored it back the other way before I'd got to the end of it

Staffi ,scorpion exhaust are restrictive because of the middle box,has a reduced bore, have removed the middle box from my saff, dont know what exhaust is on it,but sounds a lotter sharper

Lol @ James....

Stu,

So basically then when you put it like that, removing the centrebox on ANY system will help, cus in theory you're making it less restrictive yes??

I always wonder whether it effects the mapping of the car, well the fuelling side of things..
