Default Amal valve location / fixing

I've seen a lot of variation and am just rearranging my bay a bit to fit a pre cooler. Just wondered, does it have to be mounted flat and level as they always seem to be from what I've seen?

Anyone know please?

Got one Charlie mate - it just looked a bit big and in your face / in the way to me??

Had the amal hidden under the front lip before this and could keep it there if I angled it - easy to get off too so it will stay that way now I reckon

Learned that the Airtec pre cooler doesn't fit the standard 500 as the pipes foul the crossover pipe. Darn it!!

Mine's still where Ford intended...You'd have thought that the aftermarket coolers would make provision for it somehow.

Neat bracket Andy - top job pal!!
Airtec are taking my pre cooler back as it will need modding. Have the Pace one from Build 16 fitted and used the original rs500 intercooler brackets inverted - works a treat. Still no room for the original rs500 rail and mount for the amal though so done a temp job for the moment.
