Can anyone tell me whether the rs500 suppose too come with the little plaque with build number on near the gearstick?Brought one 4 years ago,but never had it,and dunno wat build no it is?

Daz Barber has a build list as does Paul of North Yorks mate. The plaques were done by club rs500 in or around the 10th anniversary I think... and are about to be replicated.

I'll give Daz a nudge to check this thread, Paul too. You'll need your chassis no. and its probably best to pm any info

are you crazy back to std, with that spec mate, i would clen all the alloy off and bring it back to std looking but keep the power and rest of the upgrades thats ferkin lurvelly mate

You won't be able to run that power with standard stuff on it mate - I know as I tried and failed!! Not to mention I'm 100bhp down on yours as well!

Just tidy her up and keep the spec in my view - or sell and get a standard one to tidy - it will save you a mint in the end!

build number will be on plate under bonnet there are also extra brackets welded under the front end
a friend of mine told me this as he built the RS500 cars at tickford in Bedworth and also the RS200

the brackets your friend refers to are infact at the rear of the car and can be seen here in figure "k"



and as for the build plate comment ,sadly that info is untrue ,tickford did provide a build list for FMC , but no build info was put on the cars, the plaques that people see between the window switches were provided to the owners in 1997 by the then RSOC Rs500 registrar Martyn Lobb as part pf the 10th year of the 500's ,the cars had to be registered with the rsoc for the car's to receive these ,hence why some cars do not have them .

Bloody hell eh you learn something new every day. I Thought they came with the plaque on the electric window switches. So are the tickford badges on the front wings an after market badge.
