BONCASTER INSURANCE ????
Hi There I Have Insurance With Boncaster On My 3 Door Cosworth I Phoned Up Today To Add A Rover 213 Worth 150 Quid I Told Them Its Just For Winter Use And I Want Cosworth Off Road.. Guess Wot They Said After Lots Off Questions To Young Cause Im Under 25 But Couldnt Get It Threw To Them Why Cause Im Insured Threw Them On A Group 20 Car Just Dont Get It?????

For some sttange reason 4x4's are very expencive to insure!
Ive never had any problems insuring other cars with Boncaster tbh.
I think you would find the same with any insurance company! lol

boncaster is the rscoc insurer yeah??? when i phone them 6 months ago they said they wouldnt insure me on my mk5 rs2000 until i was 28 everytime i phone them they are fucking usless.......

I have been with them for years on my 3 door but have had a few issues with them this year and will be looking elswhere when renewal is due. I was told that they had been bought out so presume this has caused them to lose the enthusiasm for helping RS owners, although if the 3 door is on a classic policy no insurer is going to add the rover on for over the winter as it don't meet the requirements for a classic policy.

A lay up policy means the vehicle is insured for fire,theft and damage whilst kept in a locked garage, (can only be done if you have a lock up garage)
This is what I do with my car during the winter months, I pay £130:00 for 12 months of lay up cover and then get the car out late spring when the weather improves

i'm insured with adrian flux on a 91 4x4 cossie on a classic , 5k a year policy , £460 inc breakdown + windscreen cover + agreed value +they mirrored my no claims that i have on my golf 1.8t . boncaster wanted 800+ but they covered me for track days etc . adrain flux are adecent insurer from my experience over the years .
