anyone able to help me on this. i have a 7.5 quaife for my 2wd saff has anyone fitted one diy style. Worried about setting the backlash. any advice would be great

you have the whole assembly in casing ? or just the internals?
if you have the internals, and not a clue what your doing, take your diff and new internals together down to a gearbox/transmission specialist and get them to do it, no point mucking up some well spent pound coins
