Default Saph Cos 2WD Rear coilovers? *Now with pics*

What's the crack with these then?

Just had a quick look to see how they fit while I'm replacing my diff and driveshafts and it looks like they'll foul the body on the inner side.

Anyone got any pics of theirs fitted?

All I can think of is that they may fit better when the diff is fitted (possible flex in beam?) and the car is off axle stands.

You can see that they are never going to fit with the springs on as the spring platform is the same diameter and fouls.

i had to modify the body work to stop them rubbing with hammer but not too hard then rubbed down and undersealed again

They touch on some not on others even with same make of shock.
My AVO's did not need any mods, but are only just clear.
As said it is only a bit of a thump needed with a hammer, nothing drastic.

It looks to me like it'll need more thank a slight adjustment with a hammer lol. Surely there's something amiss, this can't be right

does the beam not need to be modded to work with coil overs?

Not afaik, might be an idea to strengthen the mounting bracket on the trailing arm though.
