Cosworth phase sensor - anyone changed one?
It's been suggested that my misfire problem might be due to the phase sensor in my distributor.
Has anyone changed one before?
If so what is involved and how hard is it to do?
Thanks

Ive done mine mate, and im shit at doing mechanics . dis cap off , you will see the sensor ,make sure the wires are ok (mine were nakered) then theres 2 screws either side of it ,undo them disconect the wires ! When fitting the new one you have to gap the sensor ,i cant remember what it is tho

I've got a misfire at roughly 4k coming on boost so hopefully this fixes it I've just bought one off of ebay.
I'll take my distributor cap off tonight and have a look at it
Thanks

As above and then rotate around to the next cam and check that too.......
But ensure you have the engine in the right position in the first place relative the the crank.
Then you can take it out, fit the new and gap as above.......

That sounds easy. Is there a timing mark on the crank pulley that you can use to get the engine in the right position?
Thanks
Thanks
