Default extra power

im currently running 344bhp on my saff and last night took off the head for an inspection......it was all good too,no movement in pistons, turbo absolutely bone dry with no play in shaft,no lip on bores and you can still see the honing marks.Cams have no wear hardly at all and the whole lot is so clean its unreal.....no carbon deposits at all apart from a tiny bit on the valves.

SO...i think its time for some more power...Thinking light blues,BD10 inlet cam, chip to match.....Was told a BD14 will hit pistons without mods.

Is a .63 housing a worthwhile mod with these mods or not and how much power will these mods give roughly????

Try a .55 if you can get one.

Im going for 400s and my T34 has a .55, i also have a ported head.

Hope to get about 375bhp.

Steve.

Mines on a .48, greys, BD10s fella, mapped by Karl@NMS, it pulls awesome, went out in my mates saff with similar spec except he has the .63 housing, it was a little moe laggy, where as mine is on the nail all the time, ok, might be loosing slighty @ top end, but fook that....

i think thats the only difference really between the 2.......63 has more top end and 48 better low down power but i think i'd rather the later.

55 would be a happy medium but they are hard to get hold of now.

i took the head off a couple of days back rab for an inspection before i did any more mods........its still like new with no movement in the pistons,no play in turbo shaft,no lip at the top of the bores and you can still see the honing marks and there is virtually no carbon deposits anywhere.

All looking minty mint so reckon its fine for a little bit more power. Ive ordered an ARP stud and nut kit for it too plus light blues,Grp A headgasket,BD10 inlet and then back to paul hills for a set up.

Also ordered some AVO coilovers, new front splitter, track rod ends,TCA's and more to come.

Gonna spend a couple of grand to get her how i want her......shes worth it!!!!
