hey,

my dad has a 2wd saph cos and for some reason whenever he puts his foot down and the turbo tries to kick in it seems to cut out and make the car judder... any ideas of what is causing this?

he has an aftermarket actuator on it (not sure what it is it came with the car) im thinking this may be the problem, but he thinks its somthing to do with the amal valve... any help will be apreciated

if you slowly go up the revs it doesnt do it, only if you put your foot down quick

Disconnect the amal valve and see what happens,sounds like the boost protection in the ecu is faulty,does it start to boost then cut out at about 15 psi of boost ???????????

My 3Door was doing the same thing,it turned out to be the coil

ive had a bit more info about the problem, it only does it in 1st and 2nd gear, its fine in all the rest

i dunno what kind of boost it cuts off at as he doesnt have a boost gauge (Car is pretty much standard)
