ian howell 2.1 zvh bottom end!
Alright peeps! time to pull my finger out my arse and post my lump up for sale!
its a ian howell/area 6 built bottom end! done about 7k! cost £2 grand!
its been bored to 86 mm using ians spec pistons! vauxhall calibre i think! arp rod bolts! fully lightened and balanced. comes with newly fitted water pump! this block was brand new when brought for the conversion!
also comes with modded cam belt tensioner, water pump and coversion plate fitted, modded 1800 zetec sump, every thing apart from a flywheel!
Now for the bad bit! due to a local tuner the engine suffered det! causing slight pitting to no 3 cyl! i ve had two independant machine shops check and they have told me the bores are fine! all it will require is a piston if ya tight or a set and the bores honed! ian has quoted me £240 for a set of pistons and it will cost £70 to have honed and have the pistons fitted! im not going to do it cos i ve moved on and brought a new zvh with all steel bottom end in the seek for more power and revs!
the engine did and will still make up to 300 bhp with a new set of pistons and correctly set up engine management!
all yours for £500 ono

it will except a cvh head! to have it 100% perfect you ll need a bit of alloy welded to the rear of your cyl head to allow more surface ares to press against the head gasket!
you can run k jetronic! it was runnin it on mine till i changed to cossy only for the chatter lol!
