IAW Wasted spark system for L1 - P8 Ecus. NOW ON SALE.
The IAW Wasted spark coildrive system is now fully ready for sale after a period of supply problems. We have actually purchased all rights to this product now so all supply problems have ended. We are now in the distinctly enviable position to be able to supply ourselves. lol
This system gets rid of the antique distributor and allows you to replace it with a far more modern twin coil wasted spark system. No more tiny gap and constant annoying missfires.
Key Points:
The driver runs various different dwell periods depending on engine RPM. It also has a circuit built in that drives the rev counter correctly. (Ford Counters require a small mod to teh rear. Aftermarket are fine.)
The ecu requires no software alterations whatsoever for this conversion.
The conversion is available for all Marelli version from L1 to P8 including Ecus converted to Pectel Super 8.
The distributor cap, rotor arm, Coil HT lead and Standard Coil are removed from the car totally leaving you with a solid state non moving HT system with less HT connections and only 1 gap.. the spark plug gap.
Here are a few tasters of what the items look like and to show you inside a converted ecu which should explain why we have decided not to let the driver itself be "DIY" installed.
CoilPack Driver: £150 installed.
The driver installed into ecu:
Coilpack: £58.
2nd ignition amplifier £35. Twin amplifier bracket: £40
Coilpack looms, plug and play: £65
Coilpack Ford HT leads: £95
Notes:
The price shown on the coilpack driver is a fully installed price. Installation into a Super 8 configured Ecu is £20 extra due to extra hardware to be removed and refitted. There is NO DIY option available for any type of ecu, sorry.
Insured 24Hr Postage of the ecu back to you is an extra £10inc vat. Extra items ordered will incur extra postage costs of course.
Everyone who wants one, please e-mail me on: sales@remapping.co.uk as they will be going out on a first come first served basis after ive cleared my current list of awaiting people.
