PLEASE NOTE THE PRODUCTS ABOVE ARE JUST A SMALL RANGE FROM LIFELINE - IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE A DIFFERENT MODEL AS PART OF THIS GROUP BUY, LET US KNOW AND WE'LL UPDATE THIS LIST WITH THE DETAILS AND PRICES.

After reading many posts regarding underbonnet fires destroying people's pride and joy, I think it would be a good idea to promote car safety equipment as well as the normal go faster goodies as we have got a lot of money tied up in these cars

I know these products from Lifeline are more expensive than the 'Halfords' type extinguisher, but these are proper car extinguishers meant for oil and petrol fires and are also used in WRC cars.

I think the handheld range is good as then you can move it from car to car, use it in the garage or if you find somebody elses car on fire and feel like a good samaritan you could use it then also . Or quite a few of you have expressed an interest in the plumbed in versions.

Is this the one you are after?...

http://www.lifeline-fire.co.uk/downl...01-225-001.pdf

Looks like we should have enough interest to put together a Group Buy. We need 10 definites and then we'll get the orders sorted .

There are a few people interested on the EscortRSCosworth forum board too.

If you could confirm this is the model you are interested in, I'll work out some prices and update the post asap... The group buy doesn't have to be all for the same model - so let us know if any of you are interested in other models (e.g. the handheld versions).

Have updated our website with a few more models...

The Group Buy price for the Plumbed In Zero 2000 2.25ltr Club Fire Marshall Mechanical (Bottle Only) is £77.00 plus £15.00 postage to UK Mainland.

If anyone else wants a different model, let us know and we'll confirm the price. Once we've got 10 orders the Group Buy can go ahead

Will get in touch for payment as soon as we have got another 7 definite people in the Group Buy. Payment by card is easiest if ok with you (or bank transfer).

Can anyone else confirm which model they want (or let us know if you want your name taken off the list)??

WOOPS . Really sorry - but have realised I've got the information wrong on the Plumbed In extinguishers (Natalie writing I must add - not Daniel)!!! -

I HAVE UPDATED THE INFORMATION AND PRICES ON THE FIRST POST NOW, SO IF YOUR NAME IS HIGHLIGHTED IN RED BELOW - PLEASE COULD YOU CHECK THE UPDATED INFO AND PRICES AND CONFIRM WHICH VERSION YOU WANT (OR IF YOU WANT TO PULL OUT OF THE GROUP BUY).

Really sorry again for my error .

I have spoken to Lifeline again today and confirmed all the details and prices (still really sorry about the mix up in the first place ). Please see the original post for the up to date information.

Basically - I don't know how Rally Design are offering that kit at that price (don't forget their price is plus 17.5% VAT in the new year). We would be making a loss if we matched it, so obviously can't do that . I have looked at our prices again and reduced them to the cheapest we can go to, but obviously we completely understand if you want to take your names off the Group Buy list.

Don't know if it makes any difference, but not all companies can offer telephone support and customer service up to 10pm 7 days a week (and often later on here!), so it is not just the prices you should look at .

Anyway - please could you let us know if you want to take your names off the list (or if you want to leave it on) and hopefully we'll still get 10 orders together so this can still go ahead.
