I know its only worth what someones willing to pay..........but how much in this day and age is a brand new escort cosworth group n shell worth??

thought the majority of people would prefer the cage etc. I only brought all this up as im having doubts wether or not i'll actually ever start on mine..............and should i sell it! :-(

then its worth more than an every day painted one cos its getting started from fresh
and saph4b yeh thats the one bit of a change in direction now so its off the cards as far as escorts go

You say grp n shell. Is it a bog standard road car shell? does it have a sun roof?
Is it seam welded and caged?
Get some pics up.
6K does seem a bit steep for a shell but It is fresh.
I paid less than 6K for my r.e.d shell and it came with a few toys

Yeh i said group n shell........coz thats what it is!!! If it had been a bog standard road shell i would of said that!! lol It has no sunroof. Hasnt got a cage or been seam welded........yet!

id say for your shell as its non sunroof its probs worth about 4 martins has all the seam welding and a 2.5k cage so some where around what iv said remember if you can get proof of purchase and build it as a track car from as many new parts as possible it could go on a new reg

the fact that this is lhd makes it worth more, its a fooking group n rally car shell ffs, not a shiny english concourse jobby.
all you need is a written of group a or WRC escort that needs ashell, and this will be the place to sell this to.
i would have prefered a LHD shell, but the circumstances being what they were i got a RHD

don't forget theres fookin thousands of cozzie lovers abroad who demand left hookers so that will be of interest to them and loads of rally drivers who have left hand drive anyway.
that shell could easily go to scandinavia if you know the right place to advertise it like i do,if you do sell the shell i could put it in Norway for you no probs or let Mr Ford know as he's in with JP who's the biggest cozzie specialist in europe.

it s motorsport shell .. it's not a road shell ...it's an ideal replacement for a grp a / wrc or any escort that use the big 8.5" front diff
the works escorts grp a /wrc later were all left hand drive and the reason they was kept left hand drive because of the big 8.5" front diff
if you converted a grp a or wrc to right hand drive you would have to move the engine/gearbox over to get clearance for the colume not only that it upsets the balance of the car
i know what you saying tho if the shell was right hand drive and a road shell .....he would sell it tomorrow for 6k alday
but this shell is still worth 6k i know my rally stuff.lol..

I know its got that really nice 909 tag on it but it's still road spec and lhd, at the moment.And It is ready to go wrc or grp but the work still needs to be done. Turret tops boot floor tank cage etc.
Recon 3-4k more if it goes to europe or the irish rally boys.
Easy enough to put to rhd!!!!!
Put it together man and have your self the mintest ecort in town!

For me mate it was only ever gonna built back up as a complete road car,as i just wanted a shell with no rust......as i really hate rust!! Its just alot of work though mate.....and cant decide if i wanna sell it or not.....even though ive got alot of the parts to for it.......but the main part (putting to rhd) has yet to be done still :-(
