I dont think you would miss it that much euan. IF you replace it with the right car.
As you have been saying, buy a cheaper but still really fun car and you will be laughing (all the way round knockhill) yes you will miss the power but if u buy the right car the only thing your cossie will do better is go fast in a straight line.
If you just cut about in dans car then that will present the opportunity to fillyour head with "what if's"

if you havent got one already do this. Great value for money and get it on track where they are meant to be, and buy a nice car, M3 to roll round in. You have to be sure you wont EVER get another cossie though before you sell up as it just gets exspensive again having just got your car as you wanted it.Best of luck fella

i have to say from experience, as already been said
if its not about the money then dont sell it you WILL miss it when its gone
my last saphy, got bored of it, was gonna sell it ended up just parkin it up in the garage, lay there for about 8 months unloved, then 1 day got the bug back and blew the dust off it and it went back on the road for another 6 months, was so glad i never sold it, then after lying off the road again for a bit i swapped it for a 2dr, didn't take to the 2dr for some reason and sold it, stayed cossyless for 2 years(not without wanting 1), now i can finaly afford 1 again and am building another saph(magenta my favourite), can honestly say that i wish i had kept my old 1 now, gonna cost me fortune to build this 1 up to the same spec as the old 1 and i'll ned to go 1 better this time as well, just buying all the bits that i already had(very annoying), anyhow i'm rattling on a bit here so basicaly just make sure if you sell it, its definately the right thing to do and not just a phase as you put it, i just dont want to see you make a HUGE mistake that you regret later mate, it'd be the end of a legend mate

a recently built proven 550bhp engine has got to worth £5G easy. to build one would surely cost well over £10G from a tuner.
i would also like to see this and possibly experience this car before you break it if you do decide to.id also like to compare my cars performance side by side with yours to see how big a difference over 220bhp more power makes. i was once out in derek hastings(ace performance) alleged 550bhp 3 door and i wasnt that impressed with it compared to mine but his was probably really only about 400bhp .and your not to far from me either.
