Escort Cosworth Trimmed Rolling Shell - Track Project
Ford Escort RS Cosworth 4x4 Trimmed Rolling Bodyshell
After many years, £1000’s spent, a lot of fun and agony the time has now come to part with my Escort Cosworth Track Car.
I am selling to fund a new ‘Caterham’ project so its time for it to go as it has been sat in the garage for the last 18 months.
As it says in the title it is a Ford Escort Cosworth Trimmed Rolling Shell. IT DOES NOT HAVE – Engine, Gearbox, ECU, Engine Loom, Rear Differential, Rad & hoses, Turbo Exhaust or a decent set of wheels. What you see in the pictures is what you get!
It was built about 8 years ago from a Seam Welded Rally bodyshell and painted in Imperial Blue. It has AVO coilover suspension (all round) that has covered approx 250 miles, 100 miles ago it has NEW discs and pads all round. It also has ford motorsport ‘909’ heavy-duty suspension bushes fitted front and rear, Braded brake hoses. Standard fuel tank with uprated fuel pump, Part Kevlar under floor sheeting, Standard hexagonal cloth trim, Opening rear ¼ windows & a sunroof (handle removed so it would not get opened on the track!)
If someone has an engine/box/diff etc sat around somewhere and some time to finish this off this would be ideal to have some fun in the summer months.
There are some small marks on the rear ¼ panels I have taken a close up of these and added them in. They are nothing major but I would rather you knew about them.
Due to the fact this vehicle has been built it does not have an Escort Cosworth Log Book but I can supply a Log Book for a 3 door Escort that I have used to MOT and tax the car to enable me to drive the vehicle on the road.
Should this sell i may be willing to store for a SHORT time - this would have to be discussed.

have you had this car running?
Do all the electrics work c/l e/w etc.....?
Heater matrix there? (i can see blower missing but can't make out if matrix is there)
Uprated fuel pump make/model?
Are the colour and Vin tags pop riveted to the slam pannel & Whats the reg on the logbook?
Do you have the removed parts of the sunroof mechanism
