Default mk7 transit

I have just brought a lovely 2006 mk7 transit which I love however as always I would like to make it my own, can anyone tell me if they can be lowered also I would like to fit electric windows can I just take what I need from a breaker which has the electric windows and swop them over? also wheels any idears where I can get something without selling the house

Hi, unfortunately there is not much avaliable for the transit, wheel choice is near none existence unless you get some wheel adapters made up or get the steel wheels banded. Suspension wise the transit has leaf springs on the back so requires the axle being put on top of the leafs. And fronts would be a custom spring made for the job.

ok mate thanks for the depressing news lol looks like a sports kit and a set of transit st wheels then never mind shes a great van and i'm over the moon with it

The wheels are expensive,but there are copys on ebay that are a lot cheaper

Look on there for a sport van breaking and get the electric windows from one of them

As far as lowering goes,you can lower the front easy but the rear its air bags or as said above,i think you might be able to get the springs decambered aswell but im not sure

Modyourtransit were doing a lowering kit for these if I remember correctly you will find them on transit forum above
