I've searching the same thing and I've heard that the escort estate bumper needs to be 3 inches wider and the sides need notched out for the vans bottom hinges. I have seen it done buy cutting out the middle section out and fitting the number plate in the middle which looks really neat and tidy. You only need to cap off the bumpers inner sides and fit number plate light(s), if anyone wants a picture of it I'll dig it out if you drop me an inbox.

the last escort van i had had this done to it. i have been looking for pictures but cannot find any. if i do find then i will post em. i assumed the bumper was off an escort estate. it had been skillfully cut a bit to fit. the ends met the bodywork on the sides and had been filled to match.

a few pointers from me would be that the number plate light on mine pointed upwards - so the chap who did it cut the number plate in half and screwed one side to each door.

he welded two threaded rods to a flat bit of metal, forming a t (like a flat umbrella). these were screwed to the back of the bumper. the rods were then bolted through the bodywork to hold it in place.

if you have the standard exhaust fitted you will also need to cut a bit out of the bottom so it does not foul the exhaust.

i thought the hinges looked odd - on this one the grey plastic blank things would no longer fit. this means that you see the bottom hinge in the 3 or 4 inch gap to the bottom of the rear light. you are able to hide them again. i did it by sizing up the grey "blanks" beside the bumper. i used masking tape to mark my line and cut the f'ers to fit with an angle grinder. you will cut off mounting points - get some sticks all adhesive sealant made by everbuild or sikaflex if you are feeling flush......stick em on for a tidy job.
