Default 2.0 tdci lumpy running

Hi everyone
Just fitted recon injectors in my 04 tdci 130 , as soon as the car started it ran ok for the first 1.5 min then ran lumpy on tick over if you rev it the fault is still there but not as bad
So i put this down to he ECM needing to relearn the fueling etc of the re calibrated injectors so I
Programmed the injectors in making sure the codes were exact and taking into account the firing order 1342 with f super 2
Anyway codes appear to have been accepted but lumpy running was still there so I drove the car 28 miles but it's still got the fault , so i then read the dtc codes but there were no faults stored
The car has plenty of smooth power good mpg and dmf was done 3 months ago
But still has this lumpy running after about 1.5 min after start up from cold if started warm lumpy running is there straight away
Has anyone got any ideas ?

Still sounds injector related. Where are the recon ones from, as not all recon'd injectors are what they say they are? Ebay 'specials' are notorious for being hit and miss. The ECM will 'learn' to some degree, but good injectors will fire and run cleanly from the moment they're fitted (speaking from personal experience).

You could try and do a leak-off test to see if the injectors 'pass'. Although not conclusive it's the simplest and cheapest way of checking them without resorting to yet more money and aggro sending them off to be properly tested.

Yes I think your right , they were reconditioned at gap injectors Birmingham Ł500 , done a leak off test at tickover for 5 min and 3 of the injectors are giving 30 mls and the other 18 mls
In the older diesels you could crack the pipes I turn to identify a problem injector but if you do this with a common rail I doesn't work the same as pressure will be lost to all four
Will have to be sorted because the lumpy tickover will end up destroying the dm flywheel

I as same problem with mine. I stil got injector down. Before I start it I turns ignition on keave heat plugs get hot, knock igniyion of and back on and fires it up. Once fired a couple seconds later u gear a extra little rev. Its like the choke kicking in. If that little rev dont kick in it smokes and you got to hold acceleration to build revs up to pull off. Bearing in mind mine is still running on 3 and not boosting
