After advice on possibly buying/modding a mondeo st tdci please
I left the world of ford ownership last year went and bought a fabia vrs but it was a toss up between it and a mondeo st tdci. It's a 2005 model got it standard and in the past year it's at a decent spec. It's got a pd160 intake, decat to 0 box exhaust and a custom remap with egr delete and launch control. It's running 170 bhp and 310 ft/lb torque. I've also put coilovers, strut brace and rarb on amongst other things. Love the car but I'm feeling I want a bigger car again. Had a quick search but can't find the exact answers I'm after.
So roughly what sort of power do these make from a remap? Where is recommended for a map and roughly how much is one?
I know a egr delete, decat and fmic are worth doing but is there any other mods I should look into if I get one? I'd go solid flywheel when the time came too.
Cheers for the help

PassionFord Post Whore!!
It's a shame but I agree. See on here they are well know for costly injector and fuel system faults. My mate had one and cost a fortune trying to fix it.
Was a great drive when running right and his was remapped and could get 60 mpg on a motorway run.

I thought the general opinion was it was the 2.0 that had problems and the 2.2 wasn't that bad. I don't mind keeping the furby just got a wandering eye lol
