It needs an egr valve on it, get one from a jag dealer there cheaper
They can go at anytime and cannot be cleaned like the vac operated ones as there are electric on the euro 4 engines (these seize and strip the gears in side)
I got mine from this jag main dealer excellent service

To be fair, I wouldn't worry about it. It's up to them to fix it, you shouldn't be expected to even pay Ł147 at a guess from ebay.
Hopefully by 12 noon it'll be somewhere near sorted

Well got no reply again , so time to set the ball rolling with trading standards . I have green flag breakdown cover , do you think it will be worth calling them out to diagnose the problem ?

You need to be careful about letting any other garage diagnose, or work on the car. The supplying dealer has to be given a chance to rectify the issue first before ANYONE else does. You won't have a case if you let anyone else work on it. What's actually wrong with it isn't really your concern - it's the dealer's responsibility.
Have you got any proper legal advice yet?

Yes got it all logged with trading standards, just got to fill in the template letters & send them off . The dealer then has 14 days to reply. Then small claims court.

Went to my dads tonight & put the car in his garage to have a look , there are puddles of diesel on top of 2 injectors . Could this be the leak off pipes letting air into the fueling system ? & by the way everyone thanks for your help
