Ford mondeo 2001 1.8 error code help
Hi,
my check engine light gone up yesterday and i ran the diagnosis
that you can do with holding the trip rest button while turning the car on
and the error codes i got are these:
01
0206
now i checked and it looks like 0206 means
Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder 6
is that correct?
if so, how would i go about fixing something like that?
does anyone know what 01 mean? does it mean
P0100 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Malfunction?
thank you for the help!
P.S its worth mentioning that the car studders a little around 2000 RPM on 3rd gear or above
and its taking more fuel then normal....

I find the self-test on the instruments not very reliable, you really need the codes reading properly.
I mean, it's only a 4 cylinder engine..so where is a fault on cyl 6 coming from?

Well, it's not P0206. You only have 4 cylinders, so a fault in cylinder 6 makes no sense.
It could be P0102 with the addition of subcode 06.
P0102 = Mass or Volume Air Flow "A" Circuit Low
But that's the official definition when the car complies to EOBD, which it doesn't.
I would suggest reading the codes with a Ford specific scanner to be sure.

Hi, I have 05 plate mondeo tdci. I was driving on motorways glow plug light came on flashing and engine cut off. Started again it was on but again the same problem. Also notice loss of power on engine. Took to the local ford garage. They did a diagnostic check and advised to change fuel filter and Cam shaft sensor. Had done it somwhere else as ford's labour charge is too expensive. But yet again it's making me same problem. Took to the ford again made complain. They had another check and have been told they cleared the codes so it should be ok. But after i took the car from the garage it's making again the same problem. Glow plug flashing and engine light is also coming on and loss of power on engine and cutting off totally. Also it takes a time to start on engine in mornings. PLEASE HELP! i have no idea what it might be
thanks

Hjon, really need to start your own thread, and need to know what exact codes are in there.
Your model of car has lots of problems with fuel system
Injectors, fuel pumps and so on.
If you can get the codes off the car, do a search on here with the code number, there are hundreds of threads about faults on Mondeo TDCI.
