Default Mondeo MK3 sills

Hi. Just wondered if anyone knows if I can fit saloon/hatchback side skirts to an estate. Is the sill the same length on all the range? My sills are a mess and need hiding so I fancy some Zetec S skirts. Thanks in advance.

Yes, they'll fit the estate. The wheelbase is the same across the range.

Don't just "glue" them on, use some windscreen sealant to bond them into place but make sure you put the tubes into s bucket of boiling hot water first to soften them up
Keep them in place with loads of masking tape and use something under Heath to wedge them into place and stop them from sagging

I looked on this thread expecting it to say the sills were rusting away and needed replacing etc which lead me to think 'shit' that'll be something else for me to worry about then, but what a relief!

dojj did you and Dan write the haynes manual on the mondeo or something!? your both always there to answer all things mondeo

No. Not rusty or rotten. Previous owner ran the sills down a kerb or step. Pretty badly scored I've shutz'd them in grey so once skirted up it'll or should look smart.

Been a while since I started this thread but decided I had to try to fit these darn things. Well got one on. Cleaning the old gunk off the new sill took a while. But had to be done. Tiger seal worked a treat. Ta for the tips and advice. Before during and after pics just for the sake of it.

Both long suffering owners! Dojj appears to have replaced everything external on his Mondeo, and I replaced just about every engine and suspension component on mine! So between us we've got most things covered!
