has any1 out there changed a throttle cable before . mine has just about snapped today and the car got stuck on full throttle . . any advice on changing it would be appreciated . thanks

 

What car is it? many modern Fords have electronic throttles and no cables

 

its is a mk3 1.8 mondeo duratec . its is a cable it users on mine . i have done the job now it was a dealer only part and they wanted silly money so i got some 1.5mm cable and put it though the cable cover as this was fine and it works . cost me £1.80 for 2 meter of cable from bnq rather than £45 plus vat from ford
