Hey guys,
my A/C seems to be on constantly when the blowers are on and set to cold.

Had a look at the relay and fuse and seems ok.

Compressor maybe?
Any suggestions are welcome!

 

Do you have the vents set to windscreen?

 

if you have it set to windscreen the ac will be on automatically

i had this problem when i got mine the first time around and couldn't figure it out

i felt like such a twat

 

Took the words right out of my mouth - about the AC coming on automatically when the vents are set to windscreen - this helps the screen demist faster, even in the winter, gives the AC a run as well (if the AC is mot used for a long time -eg through the winter- its bad for it)

 

Ha, no it's not on the windscreen, it is every setting with the A/C light on and off.

 

is it set to climate?

which mondeo is it?

 

Doesnt have climate. It's the Zetec S.

 

if it's the early mk3 then there is a flap reset you can perform

if it's any other then i'm not sure
