st tdci hesitating

Default st tdci hesitating

Hi,iv got a mondeo st tdci 06 plate, its started hesitating wen ur just driving along,then stick foot down,it kinda chugs like diesel stervation,then goes.seems to b lower down the rev range. Worse i think when cold. No management light or anything. Any help would be apreciated thanx

Have it read with a decent machine although there is no light on there may be some underlying issue

as above best to get it read but id check for leaks from intercooler ect many things can casue the problem leaks pump injectors electronic actuator if it has one although it needs to be properly diagnosed

had this on my fiesta 1.4 tdci did the water drain off on the fuel filter and its been fine since.

Take off engine cover, remove main EGR cold fee hose from intercooler. I bet you have an inch long split just under the EGR valve...........

Drained fuel filter last week,filters not that old. And iv alredy changed the intercooler hose due to it being split. It was modus diagnostic i plugd in and hee haw....

Take off engine cover, remove main EGR cold fee hose from intercooler. I bet you have an inch long split just under the EGR valve...........

have u checked ur egr valve may need a clean out or cap it off

Or the EGR is faulty! Check the hose again, they can fail VERY quickly if you used a standard hose.
