some one was talking to me today about my ST and asked what the brakes were like, I replied "not to bad actually" his reply was, they should be,, the calipers are same as a sapph cosworth??? is this right?? I dont think so but could not say anything back as I was not 100%?

Yep mk3 calipers and pads with 3mm spacers and ST170 discs. Upgrades from 278mm to 300mm, couple this with braided lines and you will suddenly see how crap the standard brakes really ae!!!!!!

when i changed the discs to drilled and groved on my v6 mondeo si , i had the calipers off a scorpio fitted to mine as when i got the two sets for the front the books said they were both a different shape so i took my old pad with me and matched it to the scopio caliper ,but since chaging them to drtilled and groved my brakes are a lot lot bettter than they was before so i was baffled with this one
