Default Is it true?

...that MK4 EFI XR3i had no Liambda sensore and MK5 escorts with the same 1.6 CVH EFI engines had one along with the catalitic converter?

Good info thanks. I'm about to use that MK5 setup in my MK4 cab and was wondering if there was no liambda back then maybe I can skip it and not fit it as I will not be using catalitic converter anyway? Or the ECU will misundersand something :/

You don't have to run the sensor, but the ecu will be running in a failed mode.. it's not the end of the world and it'll be fine but for the sake of putting the sensor on, you may as well!

Would be interesting how to foul the ECU as I don't want to spend money on the new sensor and the old I think will be to slow... I know that ideal mixture is 14.7:1 and at that point liamda is sending 0,45v to the ecu, so was thinking to feed 0,45v from the sensore wire to the ECU and that should foul it ...what you think?

I think you should look into it a bit more as you're not quite correct.....

Universal oxygen sensors cost about 20 quid on ebay...

I hate ebay And as I say according manual the sensore sits there just for the sake of catalisator, so I don't see the point for it if I'm not using one. By the way what is wrong about my thinking?
