what will a four branch alone do to the standard engine? few bhp?

and will it help the cam im planning on putting in later?

What engine?

If it is a ZETEC there is no point as the standard manifold is good for 150 bhp. No point fitting cams to a ZETEC either as the standard cams are good for 170 bhp it is the inlet and mapping holding the engine back.

i meant to put the engine type

its a mk2 xr2, 1.6 cvh, i was thinking of the ashley 4 branch manifold.

It will help more than you think, particularly mid range, as this will remove a step that ford put there for clean emissions, and will release some more grunt.
