Not got the 24 estate got its big brother the 200 estate.

Standard things to look out for are:

Waterpump, prone to breaking and taking headgaskets out,
Lower wishbones, same as a Cougar and Ford only part at circa £180 EACH
Rear bumper unique to the ST estates and like rocking horse shit.

Good points

Look good,
go well,
some mods to make them go even better.

Can be made to look like mine:

TRhe 200 uses diffrent pistons, cams, lower and upper inlet manifolds, throttle body, airbox and exhaust.

The manifolds and throttle body can be found on EBAY quite often..

If you want to chat about them feel free to give me a ring on 07816 165711.

The estate has been rolling roaded at 243BHP as opposed to the 202 standard and then 167 that the ST24 and standard V6's push out.

thing to look out for on the st24/st200's are :

as said above , the water pumps break up as the fins are plastic ! make sure its replaced with a metal unit.

head gaskets go whenever they feel like it

exhaust manifold gaskets tend to develop a blow and are a bitch to change

other than that they are pretty good / strong cars

as for improving the power (st24) get a filter / exhaust / chip and a st220 (mk3) throttle body and have some fun !
