XR2 TURBO CONVERSION

Was going to fit a fiesta or escort RS tubo engine into my mint xr2.I have since thought about making a turbo kit for the car myself! How hard can it be? I have bought a t2 with fiesta turbo manifold and associated pipework and a fiesta intercooler.I will have to fabricate or find a carb top plenum but otherwise it looks pretty straight forward to me.I have the later engine but have aquired the earlier 32/34 carb and inlet manifold. I see it as fitting the manifold and turbo,piping the boost hoses up and sorting a drain to the sump.I will use the oil pressure switch take off for my oil feed.

It used a T25.
CR changed on early engines to 8.4:1 by machining the piston crowns.
Different ex manifold cast in HIGH SG.
Up to 86 the carb face needs to be machined.
There are LOADS of small differences to be made.
Power was 125bhp @ 5500rpm@ 0.42bar.
Torque was 183nm@3800rpm.
0-60 was 7.8 seconds, 120 mph top speed.

I have not done one of these, got me info from a book about turbo's by HAYNES.
It lists a lot of the detail differences there are loads, but of course it does not have to be done their way.
What are you using for sparks, dizzy and coil/amp or coilpack, if using coilpack for little extra money might as well 3d it and go FI.
