Default Burning clutch smell from focus st

Was sitting in traffic today for around 15 minutes so it was like stop and go and was riding on the clutch most of the time but then i smelt a nasty smell which was like the clutch was burning and saw smoke coming from under the bonnet at which point i shut of the engine off. Called the aa and the guy said it was common with cars with sports clutches but never come across this before and it still smells when i drive it now but not so much as before. Have i done any permanent damage and how long before that smell goes away thanks

put a plug on your nose and you wont notice it...

only joking... if your worried about it.. get the garage on the blower and let them see if there is a fault..i noticed that sometimes mine sticks in 1st but it doest do it now or hasnt for a while
