i just got a focus st3 on demo for 5 days
i got to say i am very very impressed with the car, it does everything it says on the tin and then some !!!
i have stuck 300 miles on it and they are probably the hardest 300 miles i have ever put a car through......!
i am not sure how you guys get your ones over the 150 as i sat with my foot glued to the floor for the whole of an 'A' road (privatly owned of course ) at 5am and it sat at 150 and would not go any faster..!i felt the car was very stable and was not buffeted about at all, i would have been willing to push on if it would have gone more, however i am now thinking maybe its best it doesn't!
the bottom end is typically turbo....and lively is the best i can say , but the mid range is fantastic, its just a wall of grunt !
i am impressed with the handling as well, i have had a 370bhp + rwdsaff and a 4wd stage3 saff and this thing would kill the pair of them on the twisty bits, it just hangs on and a little lift and the arse end wags where you want it to(does really give you the giggles with that esp off)!
i am thoroughly convinced that this car is going to be a fast ford to be reckoned with, once a little bit more power is added by the magical tuners !
i am off to my local ford dealers on friday to get my deposit down and join the waiting list
and i cannot wait

i am going to go for white with just the side stripes st3......reminds me a bit of the s1 turbo like that
plus the demo i have is white with no stripes and it looks hard as nails....even more so at night lol
just think the side blue's will look better
what are they like with a bit more power ?

ps, for a proper answer go to places like GGR, Pumabuild, both are offering near on 300bhp kits, or just get a new cooler and bluefin for a good 270bhp + ish

hi mine is running a PIPER full exhaust without CAT a BMC CDA carbon air filter, a RADTEC cooler plus PUMABUILDS laptop chip which takes the standard ST to 256BHP my car was dynoed at 294BHP before i fitted the BMC induction kit its now well over 300BHP.
Ive had races with new E46 M3's and beaten 2 up to about 100mph then just cruised. Beaten an RX7 apparently running 280bhp and i keep up with my mates Mitsh Lancer EVO 8 FQ MR 340which has 346BHP im well happy with it my last car was a escort cosworth with 412 bhp and i would rather have the ST than the COS its allot more relaible and you can Cain it all the time and it dosent go wrong and is dead smooth where the cossie was so unrealiable and just Blew up all the time.
